Kilim nature

Afghan kilim carpets are handwoven by Turkmen people in northern Afghanistan. The old weaving technique allows the weaver greater scope for creativity. The result is kilims in both natural and strong colors in bold geometric shapes. They are a perfect addition to both the modern and traditional home, decorating floors, walls, bedspreads and furniture, just as nomads originally used them as floor coverings, bags or curtains for tents. In addition to their versatility, kilims are reversible and they the same pattern on both sides meaning they can be easily turned over and used if they become dirty or stained.
